Let Him In

Tess really hates having a vampire for a father. So—back when she was a teenager—she sometimes used vampire deterrents to keep him locked out of the house.

I think Ethan handled it well…

(Don’t worry, Jay always figured out how to let Ethan back in!)

As always, a high-res version of the above comic can be found on Patreon, along with the original sketch!

  1. I wonder how long she was grounded after he did get in...

    1. Grounding her would just give Tess more opportunities to pull stuff like this, so I doubt Ethan punished her that way, haha.

  3. Great cartoon! I feel for Tess. When I was a teenager, (back in the Dark Ages) there were many times I would've LOVED to have a deterrent to keep my father out of the house, too... (Um, no, he wasn't a vampire...) Have a super weekend, kiddo.

    1. Thank you! I didn't have a dad growing up, so it's good to know I was still able to make this father/daughter relationship relatable in some way...LOL.

Heather, thank you for all the notes on my blog about my question. I just wanted to let you know, I clicked on it and then I got a viagra scam sent to me!! Uggg!! So, I don't know? Maybe mine was different from everyone else? Who knows? I just hope I get no more e-mails like that!
    Big Hugs!

    1. Thank you!

And ack, sorry to hear about the viagra scam. Hopefully it was just a coincidence. The emails I received had been from the same address as yours, so I like to hope yours was safe, too.

    2. Hey Heather, I think it was a coincidence, because you weren't the only one who clicked on it and is happy that everything is safe and working. Nothing bad was sent to me today, so hopefully it's over with! LOL!
